Connecting the Rhema Community Church was a vision born in September of 2014 when I was at a crossroads in ministry. I was frustrated by all the smoke, mirrors, lights and programs churches were offering to the people with no real Discipleship. God called us in the Great Commission to make Disciples and the church of today was more distracted with dressing cool or having performances on the altar. The Holy Spirit burned inside of me the fire to change things up and actually go back to our true foundation….THE RHEMA (Word of God)!! It was on September 13, 2014, that I was inspired by the Holy Spirit to CONNECT the people to His RHEMA. On that day, I purchased the domain ConnectingTheRhema.com and the vision for the church started. Our church is a Spirit filled, Spirit inspired, and a Spirit led move of God that takes aways all the motivational speaking, program oriented, lights and mirrors productions and just gets us back to Discipleship. Paul was specific when he indicated that in order to stand on the day of temptation that we must put on the Full Armor of God. (Ephesians 6:11) Come with a heart to learn and be in relationship with the Father again. If you’re tired of the same old same old song and dance and want something that will truly transform you then Connecting the Rhema Community Church is the home, you have been looking for!

Growing up in church wasn’t always the same as having a relationship with God.
"Unfortunately, I spent a large portion of my teenage years and adult years running from the LORD and abusing Grace. This led me down a road that took away my freedom physically but God used the opportunity to give me freedom SPIRITUALLY! It was also my journey through FAITH and understanding FAITH through every circumstance. I finally submitted to the plans of God, and walked in relationship with the Father, in FAITH as he intended from the Garden of Eden and realized that Grace cannot be abused. Instead, I started to walk in a relationship with the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit that valued my salvation and unmerited grace extended towards me. It helped me to obtain my ministerial/pastoral credentials and serve in the body of Christ as a layman, exhorter, District Youth Director, Assistant Pastor and now Lead Pastor at Connecting the Rhema Community Church as well as having an ordained minister as my father and mother who worked faithfully in ministry. God has blessed me with a wonderful wife (helpmate), Stephanie, that I am one with and is one with me and the ministry. She brings so much to the table because of her background in Education, her life experience as well as her father who is an Ordained Minister and mother who is a pastor alongside in the ministry, and her passion for Praise and Worship, I have learned to understand people and I am continuing to learn to understand the Word of God, now I am called to CONNECT God’s Rhema (Word inspired by the Holy Spirit) to His people…YOU! I am blessed to commence this new journey with Connecting the Rhema Community Church and can’t wait to be able to serve you."
